The 2008 show was held on October 11 & 12 at the Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden in Miami, Florida. Workshops

Workshop 1 : Saturday, October 11th, with Randy Brooks. From 10.00 a.m. until he gets tired (probably about 3.00 or 4.00 p.m.). This workshop is two-fold - Bring one tree to work with Randy and also receive a Chinese Elm to work on with Randy as well. Cost: $65 LIMIT 12 people.

Workshop 2 : Sunday, October 12th, with Ed Trout. From 9.30 a.m. to 12.30p.m. Each person receives a Brazilian Rain Tree (Field-grown, and with substantail trunks and branching). Cost: $100 LIMIT 10 people

Workshop 3 : Sunday, October 12th, with Carlos Consuegra. 1.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. Work on a Dwarf Black Olive (Bucida Spinosa), with beautiful trees having substantial branching. Cost: $65 LIMIT 10 people

Demonstrations

These ran at various times during Saturday and Sunday. The demonstrators, and the trees worked on, were as follows :-
       - Mike Cartrett : Green Island Ficus
       - Ed Trout : tba
       - Carlos Consuegra : Black Olive
       - Glenn Hilton : Fukien Tree

Exhibit and Walk-throughs

As usual, there was an exhibit of many beautiful Bonsai trees in the main Garden room. Mary Miller condducted a walk-through, describing the trees and answering questions from visitors.
